<image:title>Approach - What has value in the real world? What helps people make meaning in their lives?</image:title>
<image:caption>We measure communication success by how people apply what they’ve learned. How they are engaged emotionally. And how they change their attitudes and their actions. We design communications backwards. The outcomes come first. We assess your needs – the key messages that need to be delivered. Then we map a journey from the ending to the beginning. How people will change their values. How they will develop skills. How they will build their own knowledge. This is educational communications.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Finding Your Story | Honing Your Story| Telling Your Story | Story Branding Successful companies know their story. <image:title>Approach - Employee Learning</image:title>
<image:caption>Stakeholder Communications | Facilitation | Professional Development Everyone has the capacity to learn and to change and can be engaged in a learning process of actively building their own knowledge, skills and values. To be successful in the rapid and continued change of today’s world, each of us must be a learner and a teacher. Continuous learning, individually and in groups, and effective teaching of one another allow us to keep pace, to thrive and to grow.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Curriculum-Based Experiential Education | Innovation Events | Teacher Education Youth want to know that what they are learning in the classroom has value in the real world. CGC brings educational outcomes to life through an experience of how subjects are used in the world of work. Real world problems engage youth with the expertise of business, government and industry associations, supporting core educational outcomes with award-winning learning systems.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Case Studies - Strategic Storytelling</image:title>
<image:caption>For Elevating Business Brands, Start-up Stories, Career Narratives and Leadership “Story first. Then brand.” – Tom Peters Humans are hardwired to tell and listen to stories. The world’s leading companies create a shared culture, forge an emotional connection with their customers, partners and investors, secure trust and ultimately persuade them to act through clear and captivating brand stories. Knowing your story defines the decisions you make. Why you exist. How you are different. What you offer. Your story clarifies all your actions. Whom you hire. What motivates them to make a difference. How you approach investors and reach customers. Storytelling is an essential leadership skill that reaches your team members and elicits action. When you show your team how you have “endured setbacks”, you have the opportunity to show others the way to go forward. When your team is telling your stories to each other, you know you have really communicated, and the team is already putting action into motion. Learn how your brand is a person, how you are your story and how leaders use difficult realities but still have the optimism and courage to act. This series of online workshops is tailored to the specific needs of the end-users.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Creating Community Awareness of Environmental Stewardship Client: Ontario Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (OSSGA) We rely on the rocks in our world to build our communities. Even to brush our teeth! This teacher’s resource, with hands-on student activities and an online interactive youth module helps students learn just how we use the rocks in our natural environment to create our built environment. Students discover where our rocks come from and how we rehabilitate their sources – meeting a real gap in teachers’ knowledge about geology and geography.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Identifying Our Personal Role in Reusing Resources Client: Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO) How can we help feed the 9 billion humans who will soon grace our planet? This youth engagement, community awareness program investigates how our personal waste can be safely treated and reused as a resource to grow feed crops for animals. It can restore the organics in our depleted soil and help draw carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Reusing nutrients which we have bio-digested is part of the rural farm-production-to-city-table consumption cycle. That’s nature’s way.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Changing perceptions through hands-on experiential learning Client: Plug ‘n Drive You don’t know what you’re missing until you drive one. A necessary adaptation to climate change, electric vehicles face barriers to adoption. CGC worked with Plug ‘n Drive to develop an EV Discovery Day where high school transportation students met their internal combustion biases head on. They were engaged in how EVs are built, what makes them superior to the fossil-fuel powered car and above all, just how much fun they are. The kick of the electric accelerator quickened their changing perception of the technology and heart and minds became electric. As a result, this new generation of car buyers wanted to bring their parents for their day of EV discovery.</image:caption>

<image:title>About - Marcia Cunningham and John Gregory started CGC when they knew something essential was missing - experiential education as a way to communicate the key messages of an organization.</image:title>
<image:caption>Marcia had an award-winning career as a bilingual educational television producer, workshop facilitator and curriculum developer. Clients were approaching her to create resources that would provide education about their expertise, using a range of communication vehicles that would reach into households effectively. John was a playwright who had developed a career in corporate communications - writing sales meetings, speeches, sales and training videos and print pieces for governments and leading Canadian companies. When they joined together, CGC Educational Communications was born. With their teams of highly skilled and accomplished subject consultants, designers, illustrators and production personnel, they have helmed CGC Educational Communications through nearly three decades of change. From the heady dot-com years to the lean recession years, and now through a pandemic, they believe that learning design offers a unique and effective way to build communication tools that help people learn through experience. They also continue to provide supporting resources that use the high-quality graphic design normally seen in corporate communications. Over the years they have produced award-winning programs for their many clients; to help them tell their story, through experiences, through curriculum-based school programs, through branding, through video and print. They are storytellers; they are creatives; and they are also people who understand the struggles of running a business through the cycles every business must face. CGC wants to help you reach out to your community in a way that helps them see you as you see yourself, and make what you know, known.</image:caption>

<image:title>What We Do - CGC distills the complicated into the essential so people retain and act upon what they have learned.</image:title>
<image:caption>All communication needs to be strategically developed and the key messages consolidated to make them powerful. Educational communication engages through doing, accomplishing and reflecting. Purposeful human interaction is the hallmark of effective learning. Interactive engagement involves people building their own knowledge, which improves retention and active practice. We believe that everyone can succeed in a safe learning environment where they are engaged in building their own knowledge and skills. We employ learning strategies and storytelling to create memorable communications.</image:caption>
